For those living in Israel, rocket attacks from Gaza are not uncommon. But in the towns of Ofakim, Netivot, and others in the south of Israel, the lack of shelters remains a huge problem. Most of the residents don’t have access to bomb shelters or safe rooms. During the recent Guardian of the Walls operation, a war that went on for 11 days, more than 4,360 rockets were fired at Israel. We were urgently contacted to help provide lifesaving equipment designed for these emergencies—specifically: mobile shelters. Watch as we deliver them, along with the hope of a safer future for their communities.

Helping Holocaust Survivors | Project | Vision for Israel

Today, we’re focusing our efforts on some of the most deserving recipients of our care and generosity—Holocaust survivors. By definition, Holocaust survivors are of advanced age, and many of them suffer from health complications, a higher risk of mortality due to Covid-19, and ever-present loneliness. 
 
Pessy grew up in Leipzig and quickly bore witness to unspeakable atrocities acted upon her family and the other Jews of Europe. Her harrowing tale of escape, heroism, and redemption serves as an example—both of the inhuman treatment inflicted by the Nazis and the powerful perseverance of the faithful.

Like Pessy there are over 180,000 survivors in Israel who are nothing short of walking miracles who live amongst us.
 
With the help of our heroic donors, we’re embracing the Holocaust survivors and providing them with financial aid, social activities, donating emergency panic buttons, and giving them heaters and blankets to keep them warm throughout the winter.

The Millennium Center is our operational headquarters. We're blessed to call it home. But like any home, it takes maintenance to remain in serviceable order.

The Millennium Center | Project | Vision for Israel

The Millennium Center is located in the heart of the country, allowing Vision for Israel to operate under one roof to reach the entire population faster with life-saving aid in times of peace and war. The lower floors of the Millennium Center are dedicated completely to humanitarian aid. In 24 years, Vision for Israel has been able to reach more than 900,000 Israelis in need, often with life saving assistance. From this new facility, the organization is able to touch the lives of so many more.

Why We Need Your Help
The Millennium Center development is a project with a total investment of $12,500,000, which is now complete and fully funded. Building construction has been completed and the operating permit has been received. It is truly a miracle, and each of you have played a part, for which we are grateful. All that remains is to fund the ongoing daily costs of the maintenance and operation necessary for the humanitarian aid ministry to operate in the new space.

With the generous donations of our donors, Vision for Israel donated a new life-saving medi-cycle to ZAKA, which will be stationed in the south of Israel, in the city of Eilat.

ZAKA (abbreviation for Zihuy Korbanot Ason, meaning Disaster Victim Identification) is a series of voluntary community emergency response teams in Israel.

In a small ceremony at the Millennium Center, the medi-cycle was dedicated on Sunday. The medi-cycle is equipped with the best medical equipment and will provide first-aid, quick response in Eilat and the surroundings.
