On Every Front: Vision for Israel’s Q2 2026 Impact
Saturday, July 18, 2026
Dear Friends,
The second quarter of 2026 unfolded in the long shadow of war. Even as a ceasefire with Iran took hold and the skies began to clear, families across Israel continued to carry the weight of prolonged reserve duty, displacement, and daily uncertainty along the conflict lines. Through it all, Vision for Israel remained on the ground, meeting needs as they arose and standing with soldiers, families, and children in every corner of the country.
This quarterly report offers a window into the work your generosity made possible between April and June. From Passover meals delivered to soldiers at forward combat posts, to food baskets carried into Druze and northern communities under threat, to an evening where the wives of reserve fighters were finally seen and honored, every act of service described here happened because you chose to stand with the people of Israel.
We invite you to read these stories and know that your partnership is making a tangible, life-changing difference.
A Passover Table for Soldiers on the Front Lines
On Passover eve, Vision for Israel provided a festive holiday meal for approximately 750 reserve soldiers from several brigades and battalions serving in combat zones across Israel’s north and south. Recalled to duty after more than two and a half years of intense fighting in Gaza and Lebanon, these soldiers were stationed at forward posts in difficult terrain, many spending the holiday far from their families as they guarded the nation. For them, the meal was far more than food. It brought a sense of home, lifted morale, and offered a moment of unity and respite amid a demanding operational reality. It also carried a clear message: the Israeli home front stands behind them. Command staff and soldiers serving in Operation Roaring Lion expressed deep gratitude for the gesture and its impact on their spirits. It is our privilege to stand alongside the IDF and the people of Israel.
Supporting Families with Love and Care
Our team set out to distribute gift cards to welfare families who had not received assistance during Passover. Reaching households beyond our usual distributions mattered deeply to us, especially those quietly carrying heavy burdens through the holiday season. Each location was thoughtfully organized and prepared, and we were met with warm, respectful hospitality. Local welfare departments partnered closely with us, their teams welcoming families, helping organize the distribution, and confirming details on the ground. Seeing the families’ appreciation firsthand was profoundly moving, a reminder of how much even a single gift card can mean to a household struggling to make ends meet. For these families, the assistance offered more than practical relief. It communicated dignity, care, and the knowledge that they had not been forgotten. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve them, and for partners who make this outreach possible.

Expanding Emergency Care: Dedication of an Additional Ambulance
In April, Barry had the honor of attending a special ceremony in England alongside Israel’s first lady, Michal Herzog, for the dedication of another mobile intensive care unit ambulance donated by Vision for Israel to MDA . This vehicle will serve for training and educational purposes, equipping teams to respond swiftly and effectively in life-or-death moments. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, we have now provided 22 emergency vehicles, all dedicated to protecting and saving lives. In 32 years of service, our mission has never changed: to save lives and bring comfort in times of conflict and terror. Where the enemy seeks to terrorize, destroy, and take lives, our response is to embrace, to comfort, to love, and to save. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve, and we thank God for His faithfulness in making this possible.

Supporting a Druze Village with Emergency Food Relief
Representatives from a Druze village in the northern border, arrived at our offices to collect 100 food baskets as part of a special project for northern residents living along the conflict lines. These families face a complex and ongoing security reality, in which even simple daily tasks like shopping or maintaining a normal routine become genuine challenges, both economically and in terms of safety. Vision for Israel places great importance on being attentive to the needs of the moment and on supporting communities directly affected by the security situation. Beyond meeting practical needs, the baskets carry a message of care and solidarity to families living with daily hardship and uncertainty. We were deeply moved by the responses from the municipality and welfare administration, who told us the families were touched and grateful, noting that every act of help, large or small, is significant in this season. We are proud to stand with the residents of the north.

Hot Meals and a Sense of Belonging for Children at Risk
Through our nutritional security project, Vision for Israel continues its partnership with an organization of youth center. The initiative provides ongoing monthly funding to purchase food supplies and support the staff to prepare hot meals for children at risk. For these children, growing up amid complex and difficult family circumstances, the hot meal and the warm, family-like atmosphere become a bright spot in their day. That sense of warmth and security gives them strength and the will to keep moving forward despite the hardships they face. This project offers more than nourishment; it builds hope and strengthens the children’s emotional resilience. For us, it remains one of the closest and most meaningful efforts we undertake, a quiet, steady investment in young lives that too often go unseen. We are grateful to walk alongside these children and those who care for them.

Food Relief for Families Along Israel’s Northern Border
Vision for Israel donated food baskets to 100 families in need in Kiryat Shmona, adding another layer to our extensive aid for residents of the north. These families have endured a difficult security situation for a long time, living under constant rocket threat in communities along the conflict line. For them, even the most basic daily routine, from grocery shopping to running a household, has become nearly impossible given the deteriorating economic and security conditions. We see it as both a right and a moral obligation to remain attentive to the changing needs on the ground and to provide a swift, life-sustaining response in keeping with the order of the hour. In these days of deepening uncertainty, strengthening the communities most affected by the war is essential. Beyond material support, the distribution sends a clear message of solidarity to residents of the conflict line: we stand with you and strengthen your hands as you hold firm in the face of a hard reality.

A Special Evening of Honor for the Wives of Reserve Soldiers
At the Millennium Center in Modi’in, we hosted an evening honoring the wives of fighters in a reserve armored battalion. Fifty three women attended, each married to a soldier in a battalion that has completed five combat tours and suffered casualties since the war began, losses that leave deep scars on fighters and families alike. While their husbands fight in Lebanon, these women run households and raise children under the threat of missiles and constant anxiety. Understanding that the resilience of the fighters rests on the resilience of the home, we worked to strengthen them. The women took part in emotional processing groups led by professional therapists, which many described as the evening’s most meaningful element. They then shared a rich dinner and a creative workshop, forming bonds of support and female solidarity. One woman shared that since the war began she had longed for a day when someone would truly see her. That evening, she said, exceeded all she had imagined.

Strengthening the Reserve Soldiers of the Negev Brigade
Vision for Israel held a moving evening of appreciation at the Millennium Center for reserve soldiers of the Negev Brigade, awarding financial assistance totaling approximately 53,000 NIS to 13 soldiers. Having accumulated more than 400 reserve days over the past two years, many of these soldiers have faced real financial hardship. The evening began with a dignified dinner and reception, followed by an interactive lecture on financial management that offered practical tools for building future stability. Batya and Barry then presented each soldier with a grant. Beyond the financial help, the soldiers were moved most by simply being seen, by knowing that someone recognizes their sacrifice and stands with them. Having “adopted” the Negev Brigade over the past two years through a variety of projects, we wanted the evening to deliver not only assistance but real added value and hope for soldiers working to emerge from crisis after long service. We will continue to stand with them and their families whenever they need support most.

Saving Lives, One Safety Shelter at a Time
Safety shelters remained a cornerstone of our work throughout the second quarter. In April, after long days of fighting in the northern sector and with the ceasefire with Iran in effect, the skies cleared and the winter rains subsided; at the request of the Home Front Command, Vision for Israel deployed 6 additional shelters in the north. In May, we placed 10 shelters in communities surrounding the Gaza Strip and along the southern conflict lines, positioning them in crowded areas, public parks, and near kindergartens and children’s spaces, with two set beside an amusement park to protect families. June brought our greatest effort yet: 10 shelters installed across northern Israel and another 10 throughout southern communities, placed near community centers, municipal pools, parks, playgrounds, and transportation stops. During the northern installations, alarms sounded in the area moments after several shelters were set in place, a sobering reminder of the daily reality residents endure under constant alert. Security coordinators and community representatives voiced deep gratitude, moved that a civilian body would lead such an effort and that donors around the world hold Israel’s security so close to heart. Since the project began, we have now placed 538 safety shelters. Having crossed the 500 threshold, we are not resting on our laurels. We remain committed to protecting the communities surrounding Israel for as long as necessary, out of a deep mission to safeguard residents and strengthen the home front.
