A Year of ‘More Than We Could Imagine’

Saturday, January 13, 2024

Now to Him who is able to do far beyond all that we ask or imagine, by means of His power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the community of believers and in Messiah Yeshua throughout all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Ephesians 3:20-21

Dear friends and partners,

October 7th marked a day of immense tragedy, a reminder of the ongoing struggles in Israel. Our existence in this land is a testament to God’s faithfulness to His people, a miracle of returning to the promised land after centuries. Yet, challenges persist. Our desire for peace clashes with the contrasting intentions of our neighboring countries.

Vision for Israel, since its inception in 1994, has been a beacon of hope and support. We address social needs, especially in times of trauma and conflict. This year's horrific massacre on October 7, 2023, remains a painful memory, highlighting the urgency of our mission.

Despite the horrors and atrocities, the spirit of the people—unity, sacrifice, and resilience—shines through. Our commitment to giving, supporting our soldiers, and aiding those displaced underscores our unbreakable spirit.

VFI's role has been crucial, particularly in preparing for and responding to crises. Over the past two years, we've focused on protecting civilians, setting up 155 safety shelters, especially near the Gaza and northern borders. The generosity of our donors has been instrumental in this endeavor.

In times of emergency, we've overcome challenges in procuring supplies and ensuring those in need receive essential aid. The photos represent just a fraction of our tireless efforts, made possible by the unwavering support of our partners.

With gratitude,

Batya and Barry
