“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”
Proverbs 22:6
Dear Friends,
As summer begins, most children are eagerly awaiting their break from school—but here in Israel, we’re already preparing for a different kind of excitement: helping disadvantaged first graders begin their school year with dignity and hope.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of our Pack to School project—a simple but powerful way to bless Israel’s most vulnerable children. With God’s help and your faithful support, over 300,000 children have received brand-new orthopedic backpacks from Vision for Israel since we began.
Yet the need has only grown.
Today, over 1 million Israeli children live in poverty. That’s nearly one in every three children. Many come from large families, recent immigrant households, or homes torn apart by trauma—including terrorism. Their parents are often working multiple jobs and still struggling to make ends meet. And as national defense needs and inflation drive up the cost of living, social welfare support has not kept pace.
These children are falling behind before they even step into the classroom.
This summer, our goal is to provide 1,000 first-grade children with high-quality, fully equipped backpacks. These bags include essential school supplies—everything a young child needs to start learning with confidence.
Each backpack costs just $45. But to a child who has never owned anything new, it’s priceless. It says:
You are seen. You are worthy. You are loved.
Will you stand with us today and sponsor one—or several—of these precious children?
Click here to give a child a new start for just $45 and dedicate your donation to Educational Advancement.
We know we cannot erase the hardships these families face. But with your help, we can lift the burden just a little—and fill a young heart with hope.
Thank you for walking with us on this journey of compassion and restoration. May your generosity come back to you in abundance.
“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
Proverbs 19:17
With gratitude,
