Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward.
~ Psalm 127:3
Planting Seeds of Hope
Children are our heritage. They are a blessing and a reward. They are a promise the Lord has given us, and with that promise we have received a great opportunity to serve the younger generation by setting an example for them, appreciating them, and investing in them.
You, our partners, are a blessing in each one of these precious lives. You are planting a seed of hope in their hearts.
For You are my hope, Lord God, my confidence from my youth.
~ Psalms 71:5
We see children as a heritage and a hope from the Lord; therefore, it is a blessing from the Lord to be able to look out for their well-being and invest in their futures.
For over twenty years, Vision for Israel has worked with many homes for children at risk, where they receive care and love. It has been a privilege to reach out to more than 255,000 children. Throughout the years we have been able to provide help, renovate and refurbish homes, equip hundreds of children with laptops and desktop computers, school packs, and donate items for their advancement and education.
What an amazing summer we’ve had this year! Vision for Israel hosted hundreds of children at the Millennium Center, providing them with meals, activities, and school bags filled with supplies. So much life and laughter, such shouts of joy, and so many happy faces radiating the delight of a day full of excitement.
These children come from very difficult homes in which parents are unable to provide the basic needs of love and care. Most of them have been victims of severe child abuse or neglect, even from their family members. Their futures depend on the care they receive now.
These special days at the Millennium Center are geared to help them forget the mistreatment and begin to feel that they are loved, cared for, and appreciated.
Surrounded with love
Yoram was six years old when his mother died. He is one of seven children, and his family is very poor. His father was unable to raise them and sent all his children to foster homes. Yoram ended up in one of the homes. He excelled in his studies, overcame great challenges, and through it all received the tools he needed to succeed in life. In this home, his physical needs were met and he was surrounded by love and care. He met his wife in the same home, married her, and now they have 3 children of their own. Today, he is a principal of one of the schools and, together with his family, cares for ten abandoned children.
Our partners are the financial and practical foundations upon which we carry out this work of love. It takes committed partners who stand with us to expand our distribution every year.
Will you take up the call?
We are looking for 3,000 partners who are willing to commit to giving $20 a month to help these children in need.
“I continue to believe that if children are given the necessary tools to succeed, they will succeed beyond their wildest dreams!”
~ David Vitter, Former U.S. Senator
