As part of our monthly activity, we went out to distribute about 50 gift cards at two welfare offices in the city of Jerusalem. We were excited to see familiar faces and delighted to meet some new ones as well.
A family member that we support regularly came to one of the offices and got very excited to hear that the wardrobe she had received as a child was a donation from Vision for Israel.
The recipients expressed deep gratitude, and asked for information about VFI's activities and its friends from Israel and all over the world—Christians and Jews who love Israel—who contribute to the rehabilitation and strength of our society.
We were delighted to hear from the social workers that the distribution of financial aid is considered to be the most "indulgent" aid provided by the social welfare offices because it allows families to fill the fridge—and slightly lessen the poverty they suffer from.
