Heal the Broken-Hearted - 2018 Year Summary

Jan 14, 2019

"And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
- Galatians 6:9

Dear Friends,

Each day starts with words from the Jewish prayer book: "Modeh Ani Lefaneicha..." — "I give thanks to You..." — so we start the year 2019 with words of thanks and appreciation to you, our partners.

For Vision for Israel 2018 will be remembered as a very special year, celebrating the fulfilment of God's faithful promise as we moved to our Millennium Center.

It is amazing that, this year, we were able once again to INCREASE our financial giving. VFI continued our dedication to blessing, loving, supporting, and helping over 30,000 people, including the elderly, terror victims, orphans, widows, children in poverty, holocaust survivors, lone soldiers, and battered women. With your generous donations we were able to donate an INTENSIVE CARE UNIT AMBULANCE to save lives.

Throughout the year, donations went out to provide for the wellbeing of many families, feed hungry children, bring comfort, and provide disaster relief.

It was a year of big celebrations not only for Israel's 70th, but also for us as we gave thanks each day to a living God who provides and guides.

The greatest joy for us was meeting some of our recipients face to face, to hug, speak with, and share with them. One of them, by the name of Mazal, met Barry and had a lovely conversation about the universe, creation, God, and eternity. She was expressing her gratitude to VFI for the ongoing aid when all of a sudden she said, “I want you to know, for me, first there is God and then there is Vision for Israel.” Barry had tears in his eyes when he heard this.

Now we set our faces towards the new year, which will bring constructive activity, rehabilitation work, and hope, love and warmth to all those who need it. We embrace you, our dearest friends, and thank you, because it is you who enable us to bring healing to the sick and the broken-hearted.

There is no greater satisfaction than putting smiles on the faces of those who have lost hope, and it’s thanks to you that we can reach out and support the needy.

“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in...” - Matthew 25:35

With Many Blessings,

Barry & Batya
