Most Holocaust survivors in Israel suffer from medical problems, financial difficulties, and severe loneliness. It has been our pleasure to partner with Café Europa, a blessed initiative with the goal of providing survivors with a social-cultural gathering each week.
Recently, Vision for Israel joined the Café Europa program in Modiin to sponsor a day trip to Mount Carmel. The club's manager told us that for the last four years, they couldn’t afford to take the members on a trip out of town. They were finally able to put something together with just a small cost to the participants, but were still a few hundred dollars short. Vision for Israel was happy to provide the remaining amount for the trip, and a group of 50 survivors enjoyed a visit to Mount Carmel.
