If you are looking for a “tax-wise” way to contribute to Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse, have you considered donating shares of appreciated publicly traded stock or securities you may be holding that you have held 12 months or longer?
Donated shares of publicly traded securities are fully tax-deductible* at market value regardless of the amount of the untaxed capital gain. You avoid the capital gains tax but get a full deduction for the value of the securities!
*Up to a limit of 30 percent of your adjusted gross income on your Federal tax return. Before making any gifts, you should consult your own tax advisor for how these rules impact you.
For reasons of confidentiality, donors’ names do not appear on the incoming stock transactions we receive in our investment company account. So, please call us, or have your broker do so, at +1 (704) 583-8445 or email us at [email protected] to let us know when your stock donation will be transferred to us so we can be sure that you are sent a letter of acknowledgement for your contribution. Please also let us know if you would like your donation to be used for a specific project so we can apply it as you wish.

The fair market value of your gift is the average price of the stock or mutual fund on the day it was received into our account multiplied by the number of shares donated.
