“The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.” Isa. 52:10

ISRAELI DEFENSE MINISTER WELCOMED AT THE PENTAGON: USA Defense Secretary James Mattis welcomed Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman to the Pentagon on Tues. 7 March 2017. Mattis and Liberman discussed shared security issues between the two nations, and strategic issues in the Middle East including Iran, Syria, and Lebanon. Liberman expressed particular concern regarding the Lebanese President Michel Aoun's recognizing the Hezbollah terrorist organization as part of the Lebanese military system. Mattis and Liberman agreed on the need to act to strengthen moderate forces in the region and create an anti-terrorism coalition. Liberman added that strategic cooperation between Israel and the USA is "essential and critical not only for the security of Israel, but for security and stability throughout the Middle East, and this has implications on global security." Liberman also met with USA Vice President Mike Pence. According to a White House statement, the vice president underscored the "unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel and reaffirmed the United States' commitment to upholding Israel's qualitative military edge." The two agreed on the need to "counter threats posed by Iran and its proxies as well as terrorist organizations," and discussed ways in which the American and Israeli militaries could cooperate to address threats. Liberman also thanked the vice president for his condemnation of recent antisemitic incidents in the United States. Liberman's visit occurs as USA President Donald Trump is following through on a promised shift in USA policy toward Israel after years of friction between former President Barack Obama and Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu. AS MORE JEWISH FACILITIES GET THREATS, ALL 100 SENATORS ASK TRUMP ADMINISTRATION FOR ‘SWIFT ACTION’: A new wave of bomb threats were made Mon. 6 March and Tues. 7 March 2017, to Jewish schools and institutions, including the New York and Washington offices of the Anti-Defamation League. A letter signed by every USA senator was sent to top law enforcement officials in the Trump administration, asking them to do more in response to the threats. "We write to underscore the need for swift action with regard to the deeply troubling series of anonymous bomb threats made against Jewish Community Centers (JCCs), Jewish day schools, synagogues and other buildings affiliated with Jewish organizations or institutions across the country," the senators wrote. (Washington Post) Pray that focused and widespread measures will be taken to track down those who threaten Jewish facilities and people in the USA, and that stiff penalties will be instituted to stop those who perpetrate violence and fear against the American Jewish community.

MAJOR ANTI-BDS SUMMIT TO BE CONVENED AT UN GENERAL ASSEMBLY: Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon will convene a major summit at the UN focused on combating the anti-Israel boycott movement. More than 2,000 influential public figures, pro-Israel activists, students and representatives from organizations which oppose BDS are expected to take part in the event, constituting a remarkable show of support for the Jewish state at the UN. USA Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, the first American governor to sign into law anti-BDS legislation, will address the conference participants. Since assuming her post as ambassador, Haley has come out strongly against the UN's biases and prejudices and has expressed her unequivocal support for Israel. Israel's Ambassador Danny Danon, World Jewish Congress (WJC) President Ambassador Ronald Lauder, Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky and other known speakers will address the summit as well. "This is a new era at the UN in which we are voicing a clear call in support of Israel. We will gather and stand against the attempts by the BDS movement to infiltrate the UN and harm Israel," said Ambassador Danon about the upcoming event. “This gathering is on the frontlines of our battle against the global BDS movement. Israel has countless supporters who work tirelessly against these forces of darkness. Now is the time for us all to come together as a united front as we face this challenge," the Ambassador continued.

During the conference, participants will discuss the major issues at the heart of the fight against BDS. Three panels will convene focusing on social and digital media, campuses all over the world, and the private and business sectors. Each panel will include internationally renowned experts in their respective fields as well as representatives who have faced the challenges of the BDS movement firsthand and prevailed. “In the UN, international institutions, and academic forums, we are witnessing a dangerous form of anti-Semitism in the attempts to delegitimize Israel and deny the Jewish people their right to security and sovereignty. The BDS movement does not seek peace, it seeks the destruction of the State of Israel," said WJC President Lauder. "This is undeniably anti-Semitic and it must never become acceptable. We must stand up for what is right and expose BDS for the fraud that it is. We cannot fight anti-Semitism and the delegitimization of Israel alone. We must work together to spread the truth and to make sure that the world knows that this is not just a Jewish problem, it is a problem that concerns us all,” Ambassador Lauder concluded. (Arutz-7) More voices of protest are being raised on behalf of Israel, and ever-increasing action is being taken against world-body organizations and groups who further anti-Israel bias and anti-Semitism. This is an answer to prayer, may it continue and cause far-reaching changes to be made on behalf of the Jewish state. Continue to intercede against anti-Semitism, anti-Israel bias and the BDS movement, all backed and furthered by those who hate the Jewish people and the Jewish state. Pray for briefings, lectures, films, correct statistics and all manner of factual/educational material on Israel and the Middle East to be mandatory for those representing the nations.

GEORGE SOROS GAVE $246M TO PARTNERS OF WOMEN’S MARCH: Behind the Women’s March on Washington and a Day Without a Woman is liberal billionaire, George Soros. A report released this week by the conservative Media Research Center found Mr. Soros and his Open Society Foundations contributed $246 million between 2010 and 2014 to 100 of the 544 groups listed as partners of the Women’s March. The Women’s March was the main USA organizer of the 8 March 2017, worldwide general strike called a Day Without a Woman, held on International Women’s Day, which encourages women to skip work, wear red and forego shopping. Earlier this year, “while many celebrity voices were on stage on 21 Jan. 2017, highlighting what had become a massive, anti-Trump event, there was another influential voice not heard that day. It belonged to one man; George Soros,” said the MRC report. (Washington Times) On the long list of unsavory organizations and causes backed by billionaire George Soros is Planned Parenthood. The Soros family has long supported Planned Parenthood. Last year, George Soros gave Planned Parenthood an additional $1.5 million to help it respond to the release of undercover videos showing the sale of body parts from aborted fetuses. His son donated another $1 million around the same time. His donations to Planned Parenthood since 2000 total more than $20 million. Democratic donor George Soros said in an interview on 19 Jan. 2017 that "people like me" would like President-elect Donald Trump to fail as president. Soros, who last year, called on a “global system of political decision-making,” came out strongly against Trump during the campaign and reportedly donated millions to groups such as a super PAC aimed at mobilizing Latinos and other immigrants in hopes to stop the Trump campaign.

ISRAELI FENCER WINS GOLD MEDAL IN EUROPEAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS: Israeli fencer Vera Kanevski won a gold medal in the women's competition at the European Junior Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria on Tues. 7 March 2017. The 17-year-old from Maccabi Ma'alot overcame two opponents from fencing powerhouse Italy before defeating Ukraine's Inna Brovko 15-13 in the final. "I didn't think this day would end like this," said Kanevski. "I'm happy that everything fell into place." Kanevski already displayed her great potential last year when she ended the 2016 Rio Olympics European Qualification Tournament in 10th place as a 16-year-old, while also finishing the World Junior Championships in fifth place. Kanevski was joined in the last eight in Plovdiv by Ma'alot teammate Nikol Gavrielko, who finished in sixth place, and Yana Botvinik, who ended the competition in eighth. "This was an amazing day for our team," said national team coach Doron Levit. "There aren't many teams in the world that can finish with three fencers in the top eight, especially with one of them winning the gold.” (J.Post)

ISRAELI-MADE ASTRONAUT RADIATION SHIELD SET FOR MOON MISSION TRIAL: A vest designed to shield astronauts from deadly solar particles in deep space is set for trials on a lunar mission, its Israeli developers said. The AstroRad Radiation Shield has been devised by Tel Aviv-based StemRad, which has already produced and marketed a belt to protect rescue workers from harmful gamma ray radiation emitted in nuclear disasters, such as Chernobyl and Fukushima. The vest will protect vital human tissue, particularly stem cells, which could be devastated by solar radiation in deep space or on Mars, whose sparse atmosphere offers no protection. USA space agency NASA has said it hopes to send astronauts to Mars in the mid-2030s. The vest is made of layers that look like a contoured map and will be tailor-made for each astronaut. Non-metallic protective materials will be positioned on each shield to cover the organs of each astronaut. "This product will enable human deep space exploration. Our breakthrough has come in creating the architecture of the multi-layered shield to accurately cover the most important organs," Milstein said. StemRad say it has proven the concept in the laboratory and in simulations, but testing will also take place on the Orion spacecraft, a joint project of Lockheed Martin, NASA and the European Space Agency. Orion is set to orbit the moon unmanned during the debut flight of NASA's heavy-lift Space Launch System rocket, scheduled for late 2018 but it is also assessing the feasibility of flying two astronauts on that mission.
