Education is vitally important to lowering the high poverty rate in Israel. We provide scholarships and financial assistance to students seeking higher education.
In the land of Israel, the education is almost always in crisis, and the elementary and high school education systems are a weak point of Israeli society, damaging the ability of growth and welfare in the country. Vision for Israel invests a lot of effort in helping the education system and fight the crises it encounters.
Barry and Batya Segal, the founders of Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse, believe that if basic necessities are lacking in a child’s life, they cannot learn properly. Therefore, they make it a priority to help students in need and provide them with the supplies they need to succeed. In addition to our annual Pack to School project that began in 1999, in 2014, we started a new project to provide help with school fees to children in impoverished families. Last year, we helped 1,000 children with school fees. Vision for Israel also helps students in universities and colleges by providing scholarships to them based on need and merit. Studying is an important virtue, especially for the Jewish people. Our wonderful supporters are excited for this opportunity to advance the education in Israel. We believe that the financial donations and the school supplies that we provide enable the children and students to fulfill their potential, receive proper education and build the future of our country.
