Who Are We?

          Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse established in 1994, is an international non-profit humanitarian aid center operating in the Judean Hills just outside of Jerusalem.  As a multi-faceted charity, we supply essential humanitarian aid to Israel's impoverished individuals and to a broad base of large organizations desperately in need of many important supplies.

          We freely provide aid to the poor and needy Jewish and Arab people living in the nation of Israel today.  Many of them are struggling as orphans and widows, homeless and handicapped, senior citizens and geriatric patients as well as new immigrants and finally, victims of terrorism and their families.  Through the relief and assistance from Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse; food, clothing, toiletries, kitchen and household items, blankets, towels, linens, and toys are some of the supplies we distribute on a weekly basis.

          All humanitarian aid is for the direct use of the recipient or institution and offered to those with legitimate needs.  We work directly through the evaluations and the recommendations of social workers, government agencies and responsible congregational leadership to validate and confirm each situation.  This format enables us to be responsible to both our worldwide donors and to the recipients we are assisting.

          Our goal is to bring relief during times of crisis for those living under Israel's "poverty line" and also providing the general population lacking life's basic necessities.  The needs arise as a result of terrorism, war, unemployment, health problems, personal needs, increased immigration – to only name a few.  Each case is unique, requiring the personal care and attention that we sincerely offer. 

          The medical branch of this organization's work offers medical supplies and equipment to support Israel's hospitals, trauma centers, clinics, senior citizen homes and rehabilitation centers.  Today, we are supplying hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, stretchers, X-ray equipment, medical disposables, etc.  Recommendations come directly to us from doctors, hospital administrators, trauma centers, paramedics, physiotherapists, social workers, and other welfare and medical agencies.

"PACK TO SCHOOL"

          We provide thousands of underprivileged and impoverished Jewish and Arab children each year, with a high quality school bag.  Some of the basic items needed to return to school are contained in each school pack, as we help them go back to school, with a "Pack to School".
 

VICTIMS OF TERRORISM

          With the rise of terrorism and incessant violent attacks upon the people of Israel, thousands of victims remain part of Israel's growing crisis.  Bearing this in mind, we do not want to forget their hardship.  Therefore, we have set up a separate branch of humanitarian aid to come to their assistance. Through the means of coupon vouchers and financial dispersements to purchase food and other essential items in local stores, we are helping many desperate individuals and families held as victims of terrorism. 
 

WELCOME BASKETS

          The nation of Israel was built up in recent years by hundreds of thousands of new immigrants coming from Russia, the Ukraine, Ethiopia, the U.S.A., South America and Europe - fulfilling God's promise of the Jews returning to their homeland from the nations.  As many make "Aliyah" (immigration), some escaping from hostile countries, their arrival to Israel is often with inadequate resources to live on.  Vision for Israel and The Joseph Storehouse receive requests to help these newcomers by preparing packages for many families with food, blankets, clothing, towels, linens, toiletries, shoes, toys, etc.

MEDICAL SHIPMENTS & CONTAINERS

          The contents of the medical products and supplies coming from the U.S.A., the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia, are highly valued.  Supplies, such as wheel chairs, electric hospital beds, oxygen machines, walkers, crutches, disposables, materials for operating rooms, syringes and adult briefs etc; are in high demand at this time.  Generally, we meet with the medical facilities to determine and ascertain their specific needs.  All of the medical supplies and every piece of hospital equipment that we give away is free of charge.

Isaiah 61: 1-3, calls upon us to "heal the brokenhearted" and "comfort those who mourn in Zion".  Our vision and purpose continues to be a blessing in rebuilding the nation of Israel, especially to help the poor and needy, the widows and the orphans.
