Operation Pack to School
Thank you letters from Jewish and Arab children

“My name is GA and I am going to 3rd grade. This morning I woke up and our social worker called my mother and gave her the good news to come and receive a school bag for me. I was very, very happy and when I saw the school bag I was even happier. All the time I have received an old school bag from my uncle or my aunt and today for the first time in my life I have a new school bag and I am so happy.” --From G.A.

“I am in the 7th grade and I am from an Arab village in the South and I want to thank you for your nice gift. I live with my small family, my mother and 2 brothers. My mother is very ill and I love her very much.” --From A.M.

“I was very happy to receive the school bag, the pencil holders and all the other items. It was a little bit difficult for my mother to buy my brother and me a school bag. I want to tell you a little about us, my mother is raising us alone. I am very happy that my mother handed my brother and me a school bag. And more than that I was happy to find your letter to us so that this way I could thank you because it made me feel very good to see that my mother is not sad and that she was able to give us new school bags.” --From L.A.

“I would like to tell you thank you very much for the support and the gift that I received. I would also like to tell you from my heart thank you and again thank you very much. I would like to tell you something about myself. I don’t have a mother. My mother died in Ethiopia 3 years ago and after that my father brought me to the land of Israel. Now I live with my father. My father doesn’t have any permanent work. He is studying in a course he is receiving welfare money.
