In December 2005, long tables were stretched out in The Joseph Storehouse kitchen. They were covered with small gifts and Hanukkah sweets for 300 "Children at Risk," across the country. Several JSH volunteers and staff members were busy for two days, packing the brightly decorated tin boxes and sealing them with cherry colored lids that hold the traditional nine Hanukkah candles. These festive gifts were distributed by our Joseph Storehouse workers at children's parties throughout the Hanukkah week. They went to young people, whose situations were brought to our attention by Ha Mefal Children's Homes and A House for Every Child. These 300 children might not have otherwise received a gift at this important time of year.
Another special project Vision for Israel & The Joseph Storehouse is proud to recognize is the planting of a forest in Israel. With the help of many friends from the USA, 7000 trees were donated by Vision for Israel to the Jewish National Fund in remembrance of: Colonel Ilan Ramon who died in the Columbia Space Shuttle.
Your donations have enabled both the children of Israel and "the trees of the field" to clap their hands.
