We provide thousands of underprivileged and impoverished Jewish and Arab children each year, with a high quality school bag. Basic items such as pens, pencils, rulers, notebooks and pencil cases are contained in each school pack.
For 2006 we have requests for approximately 30,000 school packs. These requests come to us through schools, individuals, community organizations and congregations throughout Israel. As of December, 2005, due to your generous contributions, 13,446 back packs have been distributed to students, through social service agencies and various organizations in Israel.
Since the start of the Pack to School project in 1999, we have been able to bless over 93,000 Jewish and Arab children. These children would otherwise have faced a humiliating first day at school as their families simply cannot afford the expense of a school pack when finances to cover basic living costs are sorely lacking or at risk.
Please continue to help us send underprivileged children back to school with a "pack to school," as we look ahead for the future generation.
